Death Rattle has always relied on it’s strength of community -- being able to gather together to celebrate each other and your presence of work. While public gathering has in the past been a staple of the ways in which we as a community celebrate one another, Death Rattle will be as committed as ever to providing platforms for that same celebration while we all stay safely at home. That being said, due to Covid-19 we have made the hard decision to postpone the 2020 Death Rattle Writers Festival until 2021. We want to do our best to not encourage unnecessary travel or public gatherings of any kind during this ongoing pandemic including during the coming fall and winter months which are projected to be just as unsafe.

Going forward we are excited to announce the next few months of virtual programming.

Here you’ll find our calendar featuring an online open mic poetry reading, online peer review workshops for poetry and fiction, the publication of volume 3 of Oroboro, a cash prize LGBTQIA+ poetry award for Pride Month, and an electronic version of The Spill. Please stay safe and keep on creating and we will see you very soon (ON THE WEB)!

RSVP and sign up to participate in upcoming a reading, workshops, submissions!
Find and check back with our calendar under Programming.

Additionally, Our small editing staff at OROBORO would like to offer our reading services. If you were ever wishing to send some of your work to a dedicated team of readers and writers for specific one-on-one feedback and editing, we are here to work with you! Sliding-scale pricing available.
