Things Zine and Unzine: a zinesmithing workshop

You are an aspiring zinecraftsperson. Anyone can see it. You just have that look about you. It can't be helped. You really ought to make a zine, you know. Come with me, I will introduce you to Dig. You are going to learn all the thrilling, titillating, tedious ins & uns of zinery. You'll be a natural. I mean, just look at you. It's as plain as boiled yogurt. The word " z i n e " is leaking from your lips like a secret that will be kept no more!

Welcome to Death Rattle's fun workshop for making your own zine! This is a zine zone for beginners and experienced zine-makers alike. Bring your laptop computer and learn how to set up a cool zine to print in software programs like Microsoft Word and Apple Pages. Come with a project idea in mind, or bring a project you've already started. Have your own method of making zines? Discussions and suggestions are welcome and encouraged!

Anyone attending this workshop will have the opportunity to sign up for free space to sell their zines during the book fair at this year's Death Rattle Writers Festival! A list of rad zine distributors will also be available.

Obroboro Submissions Closed

Oroboro Submissions Currently Closed.

Thank you to all who submitted; we are thoroughly relishing your submissions.

Forthcoming publication in April 2018.

It can be challenging and frustrating for artists early in their writing histories to seek publication, and OROBORO was founded in part to address that frustration. New writers deserve to see their work published, and deserve the same care and generosity shown to published authors. We love being the first publication of emerging writers and encourage submissions from people of any age and experience. We also expect experienced writers who submit for publication to embrace this attitude and find value in having their work published alongside new writers.
