Death Rattle Writers Fest. Day 4

Welcome to the final night of the Death Rattle Writers Festival! Start off the final day of the festival at Café Fuego: a ‘pop up’ house café for breakfast and lunch (all donations go to Death Rattle) before heading to the final day of the fest.Plates will run anywhere from $4.00 - $10.00.

After your done filling your tum tums on some yum yums head over with your bum bums to the first annual DEATH RATTLE BOOK FAIR! Where all the wonderful poets and authors who have participated in this festival will have a space to sell their BOOKS and talk to each and every one of you. Locals and regional writers will partake along local book stores in the treasure valley. Oh snap and we also have regional and local CHAPBOOKSanthologies to view or purchase along with ZINES oooh my gawd. 

We start the readings with our main Fiction/Non-Fiction segments featuring Portland's Olivia Olivia and additional regional/local authors TBA.

Then in HomeGrown Theatre and Death Rattle Present: NIGHT MOVES: One act plays featuring local playrights and local authors, with a script in hand performance. If you went to the Blip series and saw these plays in their adolecent form just wait until tonight! These writers have been developing these plays further over the last 3 months for a wonderful and full performance.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST we have Explicit Night: Featuring poet+ author Adam Rubinstein. This event will take place once again at the ‘Cave,’ a prohibition era speakeasy in the back of Pete’s Tavern, the oldest bar in Historic Downtown Nampa. We’ll be ending the festival in style with explicit short story and poetry readings from Idaho’s finest 21+ writers.

12:00pm-4:00pm - Pop up Cafe
1:00pm - 4:00pm: Book Fair

5:30pm – 7:00pm: All Ages, Fiction/Non Fiction- Featuring Olivia Olivia and local/Northwest authors.

8:00pm - 9:00pm: All Ages, Homegrown Theater One Act Plays; dramatic readings featuring the work of local playwrights.

10:00pm – 12:00pm: 21+, Pete’s Tavern the ‘Cave’, Explicit Poetry and Short Stories.
